This product is currently unavailable

After winning widespread acclaim for his first two solo albums, The Droma Tapes (2001) and My Town (2004), Edinburgh singer-songwriter Dean Owens delivers his finest work to date with WHISKY HEARTS. Recorded in Nashville with a stellar cast of Stateside guests, this album sees Owens buoyantly expanding his creative and expressive horizons. The eloquently emotive singing, incisively pared-down lyrics and Americana stylings that have long been his trademarks are featured here alongside a range of influences stretching from classic Scottish pop, summery 60s vibes to Celtic-tinged folk. Featuring pedal steel legend Al Perkins, guitar ace Will Kimbrough, Mavericks drummer Paul Deakin & his bassist band mate Robert Reynolds, Dave Matthews Band saxophonist, Jeff Coffin, ex-Jayhawk Jen Gunderman, Thad Cockrell and producer Elijah Shaw.
