ABOUT THE FAIRFIELD FOUR

Most members of The Fairfield Four have been performing together for over 50 years, but it was not until they became involved with Dead Reckoning that they put out a live recording. Recorded at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church, their acapella harmonies combined with the enthusiastic audience response bring the electricity of their performances home. With the fervor of the audience feeding the singers, and vice versa, the record practically explodes out of your speakers!

Originally formed in the 1920s at the Fairfield Baptist Church in Nashville, the group is a quintet that’s had a variety of members over the years. In 1989, they were designated as National Heritage Fellows by the National Endowment for the Arts.
