How does the music business work?

The music business includes many different companies, organizations, and people who work together to create, promote, and sell music. Below we look at some of the key players in the music industry:

  • Musicians: these are the people who create music. They can be songwriters, performers, music groups, etc.

  • Promoters: these are companies that help musicians promote themselves and gain more popularity. They can organize concerts and tours, advertise in the media, social networks, etc.
